Home Services Franchise Unveils New Marketing Campaign

As a family-owned and operated mobile franchise business, it is our mission to ensure that homeowners across America are able to receive convenient, high-quality window screen repair for an affordable price. Our new consumer-facing campaign, which rolls out this week, strives to accomplish our ongoing goal of making Screenmobile America’s number one window screen repair business for families all over the country. We sat down with Katy Feiling, marketing specialist at Screenmobile, to discuss the concept of the new video campaign, and to talk about the many ways our Franchise Owners can utilize it to effectively market their individual home services franchise locations. Here are answers to some of the questions that our current and prospective Franchise Owners may have about how to share our newest marketing video with their local audience.

The new Screenmobile video may be getting released this week, but it has been in the works for quite some time. Originally shot in April, the Screenmobile marketing team contacted production company Corporate Filming after falling in love with videos they had done for other companies. The team instantly connected with the cozy, family-focused feel of Corporate Filming’s previous projects, and believed that something similar would resonate with prospective customers in need of a reputable window screen repair business.

“This is what Screenmobile needs,” says Katy, recalling the team’s initial reaction to the Corporate Filming concept. “It’s a great consumer confidence piece that evokes this warm, fuzzy, family feeling that Screenmobile is all about.” 

The video, which features a small family gathering to celebrate Grandma’s birthday, was dreamed up by Corporate Filming and was filmed at the actual home of Screenmobile Franchise Owner Evan Grissom (Screenmobile of La Cañada Flintridge, CA). Evan, along with Franchise Owner Jamie Mejia (Screenmobile of Glendale-Burbank, CA), also appear in the commercial as Screenmobile technicians. Not only do we get to see the little girl interacting with her grandma outdoors, playing together on a backyard play set, but we also are treated to classic, traditional imagery of a family getting together to celebrate a milestone. 

The everyday, American family scene is underscored by the synergy between outdoor and indoor living space, thanks to high-quality screens by Screenmobile. Here is a scene we can all relate to- something that Feiling says was of utmost importance to the Screenmobile marketing team. “For this commercial, it was very important to us that it didn’t look like it was filmed in California or Texas,” she explains. “It can be anywhere in the country. Whatever location you’re watching this in, it can be a house or a home in that location.”

As for the grandmother whose birthday we’re celebrating? “This could be my grandma playing with me when I was younger,” says Katy. “We wanted people to see themselves in that commercial, to invoke that nostalgic feeling.”

This new marketing campaign comes as very good news for owners of a Screenmobile home services franchise location- the video has been designed for use in every Franchise Owner’s local advertising efforts. Katy mentioned that each Screenmobile location will have their own personalized version to use for marketing to customers in their geographical area, complete with contact information at the end. “We are actually taking this video, in house at the corporate office, we’ve tagged each location to their own videos – it will have ‘Screenmobile of (location)’ with their phone number – distributed to all franchisees and they can use them however they want,” she said, then offered up some ideas for how Franchise Owners may wish to use the video once they receive it. “ have it playing on a loop at a home show, put it in their email signatures, embed it on their individual websites, or put it on TV- however they’d like to market themselves.”

Her top advice? Share on social media! “People are all over social media,” she reminds her Franchise Owners. “Share it on your personal Facebook, tag friends, tag family. The biggest thing is just share it – that’s the biggest impact that you can have.” This strategy must be working- the new video has already received close to 50,000 views on the Screenmobile Corporation’s Facebook page. Imagine the impact a Franchise Owner can have in his or her local market with numbers like those!

Thanks to the new marketing video, Screenmobile aims to place the focus back on the thing that matters most to them: family. “I think that this is going to work well,” says Katy of the new campaign. “By seeing this video, you’re going to see that this family is happy with their screens. This is all going to make consumers confident in who they’re spending their money on. They’ll be able to answer the question, ‘Why am I investing in this company?’” By cementing itself as a company that values family first, the Screenmobile home repair franchise hopes to give their customers a reason to choose their window screen repair business and further associate the brand with high quality, outstanding customer service, and excellence in the home repair industry.
