Screenmobile is always happy to have great news to share, and this week, our mobile franchise really has something to celebrate! Neal Wheat, who joined the Screenmobile family as the Franchise Owner of our Yorktown/Williamsburg, Virginia home services franchise location, is celebrating his one-year anniversary with us, and we couldn’t be more proud to have him on our team.

We caught up with Neal to ask him a few questions about his experiences, memories, and things he’s learned over the past year as a Screenmobile Franchise Owner. Neal opens up about his wild and crazy year with our family-owned veteran franchise in the video below.

In his anniversary video, Neal mentions that starting his Screenmobile business with the help from our corporate support team is the thing he is most proud of this year, which makes us feel great! After all, the mission of our home repair franchise’s corporate training and support staff is to make sure our Franchise Owners succeed in their window screen repair business, and give them all the tools and guidance they need to learn how to own and operate a mobile franchise like Screenmobile, while also helping them with marketing, administrative tasks like appointment scheduling, and customer service. Our support team also plays a significant role in lead generation, and is responsible for sending new business to Neal and all our other Franchise Owners- one less thing they have to worry about doing!

Neal admits that the sheer size and scope of the window screen repair business, or as he puts it in his anniversary video, “The amount of work that’s available just fixing people’s screens,” was one of the things that surprised him the most during his first year as a Screenmobile Franchise Owner. It’s true- when you first think of a mobile franchise that repairs window screens, patio doors, and more, you may not realize just how much window screen repair business is available right in your neighborhood! Think about it: all homes have windows, and those windows have screens. Sooner or later, every single house on your block, and the next block over (and the block after that…) is going to need a home repair franchise that manufactures and installs new screens for their windows. It’s evident that Neal’s wife plays a very significant role in his personal and professional life, since he mentions her twice in the anniversary video- once while reminiscing about the drive he took to Las Vegas from his Screenmobile Franchise Owner training to buy her a special gift, and again when recalling the joy of loading his first 1-ton shipment of materials into his van, with her (possibly reluctant!) help. At Screenmobile, we value family first and foremost, and do all we can to ensure that our Franchise Owners are able to create a healthy balance between work and life. We encourage Franchise Owners and staff to put their family’s needs front and center, and build their work schedules around their high-priority family commitments.  It’s just one of the things that makes us different from other home repair franchise opportunities out there. The best part of Neal’s anniversary video comes at the end, when he is asked how happy he is on a scale of 1 to 10.
